I found this establishment online, I was looking for a local automotive mechanic shop in the area that can be my go to when needed. Let me just say these guys are awesome!! I did a walk in dropped off my wife's Honda Accord they did a phenomenal job, when my wife drives off and says the car feels better and sturdy, that's saying something!! Ace Auto has been the best to work with!! My usual mechanic shop closed with COVID. I was extremely hesitant with finding a new mechanic. After a lot of online research and reading the other reviews posted for Ace Auto (and other mechanic shops in the SLC valley) I decided to take my van in to them for a mechanical issue.I agree with the other 5 star reviews. I take all 3 of my vehicles into Ace Auto and really trust these guys! I have been in at least 20 times for various repairs or oil changes and in many cases they have told me a certain service or repair I asked for did not need to be done which saved me money. They don't cut any corners though with good quality parts and oil. They also evaluate the whole vehicle in case there is a problem I did not know about. Communication is great with phone or text option along with appointment reminders or scheduling via text. I highly recommend.

They weren't able to isolate the problem I came in for the they informed me in a clear way about other major issues my car was having and fixed them at a reasonable price. I know it's a cliché of some mechanics to upsell you on services but they explained clearly what was wrong and why it is dangerous. Their pricing was very transparent as well. Their customer service is unmatched in the auto industry. The guy running the front desk is very nice and is there to help. I can trust these guys and I hope others have similar experience with them.

Super grateful to the team at ace! They got my car in very last minute and got diagnostics done relatively quickly. Though we ultimately decided the fixes weren’t worth spending on, I trust their judgement on the issues they found and would absolutely trust them to do work on any future car I’ve got! They were incredibly thorough with the troubleshooting and gave me a comprehensive list of the things my car needed and how important/immediate those fixes were to my safety.

Ace Auto Repair is the best place in the Salt Lake Valley to take your vehicle. Besides being great with cars, they’re hardworking, cost-efficient, old-school polite (which I love), and honest. I needed major work done on my engine that I didn’t fully understand. Zach and his team did a thorough check and then took the time to explain what was wrong, what needed to be done, and an exact quote on how much it would be. Zach explained everything in such a way that I never felt dumb, and when I apologized for asking so many questions he simply said, “That’s what I’m here for.” I highly recommend this group of amazing mechanics.

These guys are honest and dependable. They are a "test not guess" shop and have reasonable pricing. Other repair shops will just replace parts and hope that fixes it - all at your cost. These guys will work their butts off to find something that actually fixes your problem before making the repair and billing you for it. I really appreciate that. One time I brought my accord in because it was idling weird. They cleaned the throttle body which helped but a week later the problem came back. So they kept digging and turns out they had to resolder a connector somewhere and that fixed it. They were completely honest with everything and rushed me in when I came back for the same issue a 2nd time. Highly recommend

I went to ace auto for the first time last week cuz i had problems with my 2011 camaro they replaced my fuel injectors and to be honest i didn't know what to expect from them and when they give me my car back ( in the specific time they told me ) it was running awesome like a brand new camaro zack was really honest and helpfull, I'll definitely take my car there everytime i need to they're awesome mechanics and honest too

I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience with Ace Auto. I recently took my vehicle to them after noticing a significant oil leak. They were able to get me same day and had the problem identified and fixed within a matter of hours. What I feared would be an expensive trait ended up being very reasonable. Not only did they fix the issue, they looked over the vehicle and cleaned up a few other issues I wasn’t aware of. My car is running better now than it has in a long time. I will be taking my cars to Ace Auto moving forward!

These guys are fantastic! They had a loaner car for an affordable price, and they figured out the issue my car was having pretty quickly and got it fixed.Also ..I have never locked myself out of a car in my entire life, until I had their loaner at the gas station. I called to see if they had a 2nd key I could come grab, and he offered to come meet me and unlock it for me!Such great service all around, I'll definitely be back!

This was one of the best experiences I've had at a auto repair shop. Zack was very straightforward when presenting the results of their findings. Gave me a list of all the things that needed to happen and when I asked basically to get it running they only did those things and at the very end when he was showing me my bill we were viewing each item and he realized that they didn't do an alignment even though it was on the receipt. So he went back confirmed with this tech and realized it hadn't been done so he removed that charge. The honesty that they show has made me a lifetime customer.

A little about me:My dad is an auto mechanic, and has been for about 45 years. As a 16th birthday gift, he got me a red 1989 Honda Civic... At least the bare frame of one (this was in 2008). I spent the next year going to Pick&Pulls getting every single bolt, every single wire, every single scrap of metal under the hood, removed from lifeless, long dead hulks. I love working on cars. I love the feeling of accomplishment and pride I get when I fix a problem that's been a thorn in my brain for sometimes weeks.Time passes and I have a family and kids, I don't have as much time as I used to have. My truck starts sounding a little louder under the hood than expected and I suspect an exhaust manifold leak (I was right). But I know that means I might have to extract some rusty bolts and snap some studs. Tough work that would take me a few days of work, and something if I screw up and be a tough fix.Reluctantly I schedule the repair and Ace got me in only 3 days after I called. They got the manifold fixed, and told me (and this is common, after you replace one) that the other exhaust manifold was leaking slightly, you could hear it. I asked the manager on the phone "do you think I need to get it fixed now?" And they said, "honestly no. It'll last for some time, and when it gets worse we'll be here." First time ever I've even HEARD of a mechanic shop saying no, you don't need to fix it. I told them to slap the other one in anyway.Honest. Competitively priced. Fast and impeccable work. What else do you want from a mechanic?! World class shop.

I came to Ace auto with a demolished skid guard due to the recent snow storm. My tiny card couldn’t handle all the ice chunks on the road. While there, they also did a quick look over and diagnostic of my whole car. The oil was a bit past needing to be changed, which I knew, but Had planned on taking care of the following week. There was also a faulty radiator cap and low fluid. I was given a run down on cost, and it was actually quite reasonable for everything. Especially the oil change. I decided to knock it all out. I don’t know how they managed to salvage the skid guard, but they did, and the whole endeavor only took about an hour and a half. The experience was pleasant.

Zach and his team kept my old truck alive. And not like a cool-78-k20-show-truck-in-the-rough. More like a rusty-96-b23-commuter-when-I'm-not-motorcycling. 1) They were willing to take a look at the brake fluid sprootzing out onto the back tire every time I "stopped". 2) They expertly ran a new brake line under the gas tank, OEM style. 3) They cleaned, lubed, bled, and otherwise manhandled my neglected brakes, into a best-ever condition! 3) They pointed out only mission-critical extras they found and didn't mind when "I'll do that myself".On top of all that, they were quick, true to their time and price estimate, communicative, and friendly. Their shop is clean, orderly, uniform, and pretty rad inside. I lucked out living close to these guys.
