I brought in an older model mazda with AC problems for a diagnosis. Zach was very professional and was able to to get to it the same day. After significant time they spent diagnosing, it turns out that the AC issues would be more costly to fix than I'm willing to spend on this older car, but they were honest and up-front with what they believe the problems are. The cost factor is not because they are overcharging- it's just that AC systems are expensive. I would definitely bring my cars here in the future.

Affordable. My husband wanted to do most of the repairs. They agreed to just do the parts he couldn't. We had it back the same day. They have also been super helpful over the phone. This is the second A/C we've had worked on there. Car repairs aren't fun. They are expensive and inconvenient, but this is the best that it gets!

Great customer experience, Zach and his team did an awesome job fixing my AC in a 2012 Honda Civic at a fair price.Even though it was a higher price than other shops quoted- you get what you pay for and I always felt in good hands.Zach was always a straight shooter, welcoming, and courteous.When my Civic wasn't blowing cold air after the initial repair, took it right back in and they got a troublesome O ring replaced quickly.They are upfront, honest, and accommodated the need to get my vehicle back on the road soon as possible with the work required.Plus fixed my serp belt and corrosion on my battery!Thanks guys!Will be coming back for repairs done in the future, highly recommend to anyone

Zack and the staff at Ace Auto Repair are amazing. We are from out of town and had radiator trouble with our van. We had places to go in the Salt Lake Valley and needed to get home to Logan (90 miles north). Ace Auto Care made the time to fit us in, analyze the situation, find replacement parts and provide a honest and competitive price. They also had a loner car that we were able to rent at an affordable price for the day. The repairs were completed by the end of the day. They communicated clearly through the day letting us know the progress of our van. They went above and beyond! I would highly recommend Ace Auto Care for your auto repair needs!

I cannot recommend Ace Auto Repair highly enough. I’ve gone there several times they’ve always done a great job. They have always treated me fairly. I’ve even had the unprecedented experience twice of having a repair cost less than estimated… And they told me… And I actually paid less! Crazy, right? They are not the cheapest, but they are the best, and I’m am a loyal customer.

My mechanic retired so I figured I'd give this place a try. It is really hard to find a knowledgeable and honest mechanic. I was pleasantly surprised with Ace Auto Repair. I found this establishment online, I was looking for a local automotive mechanic shop in the area that can be my go to when needed. Let me just say these guys are awesome!! I did a walk in dropped off my wife's Honda Accord they did a phenomenal job, when my wife drives off and says the car feels better and sturdy, that's saying something!! These guys ensure and stay in contact making sure they get all info you need to know before any adjustments are made.Definitely my go to from here on out.

Had a wonderful experience at ACE Auto. Ace Auto has been the best to work with!! My usual mechanic shop closed with COVID. I was extremely hesitant with finding a new mechanic. After a lot of online research and reading the other reviews posted for Ace Auto (and other mechanic shops in the SLC valley) I decided to take my van in to them for a mechanical issue.I agree with the other 5 star reviews. Fair price, clear explanations, easy to work with, no pressure, and honest work. I will continue to take my vehicles here. A great mechanic is worth the drive and cost. Thanks Ace Auto.

Ace is always great. They are honest and very good at explaining what work they recommend and what is most imperative or a safety concern versus what is just nice to do so that I can make informed decisions regarding my vehicle. This has allowed me to trust their recommendations and know that they aren’t just trying to upsell me for work that really doesn’t need doing.

I take all 3 of my vehicles into Ace Auto and really trust these guys! I have been in at least 20 times for various repairs or oil changes and in many cases they have told me a certain service or repair I asked for did not need to be done which saved me money. They don't cut any corners though with good quality parts and oil. They also evaluate the whole vehicle in case there is a problem I did not know about. Communication is great with phone or text option along with appointment reminders or scheduling via text. I highly recommend.

They weren't able to isolate the problem I came in for the they informed me in a clear way about other major issues my car was having and fixed them at a reasonable price. I know it's a cliché of some mechanics to upsell you on services but they explained clearly what was wrong and why it is dangerous. Their pricing was very transparent as well. Their customer service is unmatched in the auto industry. The guy running the front desk is very nice and is there to help. I can trust these guys and I hope others have similar experience with them.

Good shop. I'm not a car expert but I like to do what I can myself and they're willing to work with me if I only want something specific replaced. They did a great job on the compressor replacement as well. Friendly staff, well run shop, fair pricing. Would recommend.

Super grateful to the team at ace! They got my car in very last minute and got diagnostics done relatively quickly. Though we ultimately decided the fixes weren’t worth spending on, I trust their judgement on the issues they found and would absolutely trust them to do work on any future car I’ve got! They were incredibly thorough with the troubleshooting and gave me a comprehensive list of the things my car needed and how important/immediate those fixes were to my safety.

Ace Auto Repair is the best place in the Salt Lake Valley to take your vehicle. Besides being great with cars, they’re hardworking, cost-efficient, old-school polite (which I love), and honest. I needed major work done on my engine that I didn’t fully understand. Zach and his team did a thorough check and then took the time to explain what was wrong, what needed to be done, and an exact quote on how much it would be. Zach explained everything in such a way that I never felt dumb, and when I apologized for asking so many questions he simply said, “That’s what I’m here for.” I highly recommend this group of amazing mechanics.

These guys are honest and dependable. They are a "test not guess" shop and have reasonable pricing. Other repair shops will just replace parts and hope that fixes it - all at your cost. These guys will work their butts off to find something that actually fixes your problem before making the repair and billing you for it. I really appreciate that. One time I brought my accord in because it was idling weird. They cleaned the throttle body which helped but a week later the problem came back. So they kept digging and turns out they had to resolder a connector somewhere and that fixed it. They were completely honest with everything and rushed me in when I came back for the same issue a 2nd time. Highly recommend
